Untold Story

A frayed rope holds a fishing boat to the dock. Peeling paint, wood trim bleached from the sun, stacks of torn nets, no one aboard; no one present on the dock.

And then, she saunters along the quay. Blond dreadlocks, flip-flops, cut-offs, halter top and deeply tanned skin. She nods, makes eye contact, steps up to the deck and asks “Want to come aboard for a toke?”
