Petals descend in whispers to the white-dotted grass below. A robin alights on a twig, descends to another, then traces a curve to the low limbs of the mulberry bush where new green bulbous shoots point up to the blue like fledglings. Now the robin returns and against the rough-grained moss-green rust-brown bark he sharpens his beak.
