Arctic Autumn

beach cobbles—
each wave plucks
many strings

Green sea and white ice have carved a beach bowl in lichen-blackened granite. High tide dumped a golden brown tangle of kelp fronds, balls and stems on the highest berm. A pink jellyfish is stranded above the tidal pool.
