Nova Scotia Farewell

I have a whole day until my flight; early in the morning, I find a spot in downtown Dartmouth to watch the tall ships sail into Halifax Harbor. The grandest of all: Bluenose II gliding in upon glittering ripples. Then it's farewell again to the red and white striped stacks of the power station and the soaring bridges decked with banners. On the way to the airport, I detour to my favorite park and walk through cool pines amid the chatter of jays and red squirrels.

was it just today
