Call Back After the Movie

I'm watching Next, with Nick Cage, and it's getting to the scary part. He can feel the heaviness of darkness over his shoulder. All the weight of that darkness calls to him in the language Africa calls to its many shades of skin. He sees things before they happen. He carries his beer to the front porch and looks out across the lawn where a storm front’s lightning starts disheveling the dark that drops like a cloth across the horizon. Cloud tops fray into heads of gray thinning hair. Raindrops begin to puddle with dust in the air. The world smells of the mud in a second-chance while thunder blusters with the talk of locker rooms and the winds thrust like obscene hand-gestures.

the future changes
