Dandelion Clocks

A few hours in Legoland and we spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the Rococo architecture of the Trafford Centre. Dolphins spout back at the mermaids in the centre of Barton Square. As we near the fountain, my son points excitedly at all the coins in the clear water. He asks for a penny to make a wish. When I turn and walk away without acquiescing, he keeps running behind me, tugging at my hand, pleading for just a penny. I stop for a moment as he says

"Anna! I want to make a wish that I will never be rude to you and amma again"

Now he is tugging.
