Make It So

I knew I wanted to be an astronomer when I saw the first jetliners contrailing above me. But high school algebra with Mr. Burns was hopelessly beyond my ken.

When I dropped his class I didn't think I'd ever look back or up at my dream again.

Three A.M. Thermos of coffee, blankets, Captain Jean Luc Picard action figure, and a star chart on the passenger seat. I park under the moonless Nevada desert sky that makes room for me and the trails of meteors shooting across the night. And doesn't ask me to solve for x.
