Entering

Southwest of Taos in the missionary days a priest found a crucifix buried in some sand and built a church around the spot. This sand was said to cure illness when the afflicted person placed the sand on their body. Today memorial testaments to cures, such as crutches, surround the small room where a circle of fine sand is exposed in the middle of the floor. I placed some sand on a troubling spot on my shoulder and felt better somehow.
