Domesticity

Red-winged blackbirds are polygynous, males mate with many females, and it's common for females to pair off with other males, so that might explain a bit about their raucous ruckus in these high-rise tenements of wind-bent reeds and cattails beside this white-capped strip-pit. You can almost feel the tension.
