Washing Machine

Everyone’s life is full of things. Though, in some cases, those things might more accurately be called nothings. Each second allocates itself without requirement or permission. All tasks, from building a skyscraper to the signing of a name, consume time. Seconds tick away, endlessly. Or do they? In the same way that there are not plenty more fish in the sea, I wonder if there is not always tomorrow.

spin cycle
too many revolutions
to cope with

overfull … thoughts swirl … lap at the shores of sanity … they will not crystallise on paper … they will not leave me alone … wandering through a blustery day … a mist of fine drops inhabits my horizontal plane … each one taps for attention … a gentle slap … step by step … a rat’s nest of imaginings untangles … stresses become tresses … trail, intangibly, beyond me … clear thought returns

whiter than white
is the faded pattern
something or nothing
