Reminiscing by the Pool

I was a toddler when I first came across the pool. It was a short distance from my parents’ house and I looked in wonder at the water lilies. As a young student, I tried to float paper boats in the pool, but was shooed away by some pedestrians. When I was a teenager, I used to stand by the calm water before my maths exams, in an attempt to forget my tension and focus on the nature god. A fortnight before my marriage, I was ecstatically happy as I stared at my reflection in the sparkling water. Now a parent with responsibilities and little time, I visualize the pool and recall those days of carefree joy.
