Hidden Treasure

In the attic of our old house where former lives are stored my sister and I find a locked leather suitcase. We shake it. It rattles with a chinking sound. Coins perhaps? Antique jewelry? Surely, some sort of treasure.

Too heavy to lug downstairs we call Mom who comes with a hammer and chisel.

"Hurry. Hurry. We found it. So, can we keep it?"

With one final fierce blow the lock snaps, and the lid opens. Mom is thrilled.
