The color of flounce coming just above the knee, the tan knee and pleated teal dress she wore on the day we were married. I matched the spirit of her hem with an untrimmed beard and untucked shirt with a cutaway collar.

The high ceiling in the waiting room and slow moving fan made me wish we could elope to Havana. Her dress was the blue-green color of shoals, a sandbar seen before landing. The water would not be as deep out there as the undertow trench close in.
